Exercise and kinesiotherapy is a hybrid program where you have the combination of exercise science and kinesiotherapy. Learners who complete this program will have an improved physiological understanding of how the body responds and adapts to exercise, and will be able to design an exercise program that impact health and training. Kinesiotherapy is the application of scientifically based exercise principles adapted to enhance the strength, endurance, and mobility of individuals with functional limitations. And determine the appropriate evaluation tools and interventions necessary to establish, in collaboration with the client, a goal-specific treatment plan. The depth of our exercise science degree program provides excellent preparation for students interested in dual credentials in the areas of medicine, chiropractic, physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, coaching, and other health and fitness professionals

Dr.Kamalakannan.M pursued Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy by 2009 from Sri Ramachandra University, Postgraduation in Orthopedic and manual therapy by 2012 from Saveetha University, India and completed his Doctoral degree by 2019 in Physiotherapy from Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical sciences, Chennai, India. He has 13+ years of professional experience in India. He has constantly upgraded and shared his professional expertise by attending and delivering presentations in various National and International conferences and CMEs. He has also completed Certificate courses in Ethics Review of Health Research, Certified Barefoot Rehabilitation Specialist (Level 1) from Board of certification of evidence based fitness academy, MD (Acupuncture) from Open International University for Complimentary Medicine. He is a Certified Manual Therapy practitioner from Academy of sports and manual therapy. He has received numerous awards in Physiotherapy - Received Best Teacher Award at International Physiotherapy Conference, Indian Association of Physiotherapist 2018, Distinguished Academician Award – International Physiotherapy Conference by IAP 2020, Growth Driver Award - Rotaract Club of Saveetha College of Physiotherapy 2020 and Best Academician Award from Chettinad Academy for Research and Education 2022. Also serving as University and college Academic council member.
