BACHELOR OF PHYSIOTHERAPY

 Program Outcomes: (PO)

The aim of the course is to provide comprehensive, individually focused training that prepares the students for providing a quality physiotherapy care to the patients so that at the end of the course he/she will be able to perform the following

  • Recognize the role of Physiotherapy in the context of the health needs of the community and National priorities in the health sector.

  • Ability to acquire knowledge on Basic Medical sciences, Human Movement Sciences, Various Medical Conditions and Surgical Treatments to identify Psychological, Social, Economical, Cultural aspects of diseases and its impact on community.

  • Ability to perform a safe, systematic and appropriate physiotherapy assessment for various conditions.

  • Identify, define and Deal with problems of professional practice through logical, analytical and critical thinking.

  • Ability to choose, demonstrate intervention safely and document the progression appropriately.

  • An ability to work independently or collaboratively as a part of rehabilitation team.

  • Ability to understand and conduct research activities.

  • Engage in activities that contribute to the betterment of society and behave ethically and responsible in social environment.

  • Develop the ability to collect history, perform relevant clinical assessment and frame appropriate electrotherapeutic and exercise therapy management for the patients.

MASTER OF PHYSIOTHERAPY

Program Outcomes: (PO)

  • The aim of the course is to provide comprehensive, individually focused training that prepares the students for providing a quality and specialized physiotherapy care to the patients so that at the end of the course he/she will be able to perform the following

  • Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior appropriate to at least the minimum standard expected for a Physiotherapy Post Graduate.

  • To acquire knowledge and skills in various fields like Exercise testing physiology ; Movement analysis ; Electro diagnosis ; Physiotherapy Diagnosis and Exercise prescription

  • Using an Evidence Based analysis interpret assessment findings and set realistic short and long term goals and undertake patient discharge plans.

  • To apply general principles of Practice and understand their applications in enhancement of Physiotherapy Practice.

  • To understand the clinical manifestations and to apply the suitable management models in various electives.

  • To appreciate the importance of clinical epidemiology, research ethics and advance in computer applications and formulate research process in physiotherapy.

  • Able to teach Physiotherapy with appropriate teaching methodology.
